Bagdogra - Gangtok(3N) - Lachung(2N) - Gangtok(1N) - Pelling(2N) - Yuksom(2N) - Kalimpong(2N) - Darjeeling(3N) - Bagdogra

Day 1 : Bagdogra - Gangtok
On arrival at station / airport you will be met and assisted to board your vehicle to Gangtok . Check into hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2 : Gangtok
Go for a half day sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Flower Show, Enchey Monastery & Nam Nam View Point. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 3 : Gangtok
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (departure in the morning) situated at a height of 3,780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Return to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 : Gangtok - Lachung
Pick up from Gangtok hotel and transfer to Lachung . Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 : Lachung
Take an excursion to Yumthang. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 : Lachung - Gangtok
Transfer to Gangtok. On the way, see mighty Kanchendzonga from Singhik (subject to good weather condition). Overnight at hotel .

Day 7 : Gangtok - Pelling
After breakfast we drive to Pemayangtse via Ravangala. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 : Pelling
Go for a leisurely walking tour covering the three famous landmarks- Rabdantse Palace, Pemayangtse Monastery & Sangachoeling. Early morning walk of 30 min will reach you to Sangachoeling Monastery- the second oldest in Sikkim. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Then you head to the Rabdantse Palace- once the second capital of Sikkim is now a historical monument. On the way back you head for Pemayangtse Monastery. The Pemayangtse Monastery belongs to the Nyingma-pa order of Tibetan Buddhism. It was built as a small temple in late 17th century by Latsun Chenpo. On the top floor there is a wooden sculpture portraying the Mahaguru's Heavenly palace Sangthokpalri. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 :Pelling - Yuksom
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom . On way visit Khecheopalri Lake, one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lakes. It is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth has its that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface is picked by a bird. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks)- the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. . Overnight at hotel .

Day 10 : Yuksom
Early morning 35 minutes moderate walk to Dhubdi Monastery (built in 1700 AD, the oldest monastery of Sikkim) and Tashi Namgyal (the stone throne for the first king). Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11 : Yuksom - Kalimpong
After breakfast, transfer to Kalimpong . Check in at hotel. Evening free to visit the local market. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12 : Kalimpong
Here you do the sightseeing of Dello hills, Dr. Graham Home, Flower Nurseries, Nature Interpretation Center and Durbin Dara Hills & Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 : Kalimpong - Darjeeling
Transfer to Darjeeling . Optional rafting on the way. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 : Darjeeling
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu. Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 : Darjeeling
Optional Toy Train ride. Afternoon visit to Rock Garden & Ganga Maya Lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16 : Darjeeling - Bagdogra
Transfer to station / airport, for onwards connection.


Sikkim
Tour Length : 5 Nights / 6 Days

Day 1 : 
Tour stars with your arrival at Siliguri (NJP/Bagdogra). Transfer to Gangtok (125kms) and check in at hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 2 :
Drive to Lachung (126kms, 8610ft) after breakfast. En-route visit at Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok (historical site), Naga Waterfalls, Confluence of Lacnen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chunthang, Bhim Nala Waterfall and Holy Rock at Chungthang. Lunch at Phodong/Mangan. Over night halt and dinner at Lachung.

Day 3 :
Drive to Yumthang and Yumesamdong after early breakfast (40kms, 11800ft). Free time to enjoy the lush green alpine valley covered with colourful rhododendron forests encircled by high snow caped mountains. Take a dip in the hot spring rich in Sulphur. Back to Lachung for lunch. Drive to Lachen (8800ft) via Chungthang (40Kms), another quiet and picturesque hamlet on the higher Himalayas famous for its proximity to the Kunchanjungha National park, Green Lake and Gurudongmar Lake. Transfer to hotel at Lachen. Overnight at Lachen.

Day 4 :
Visit to the Lachen Monastery in the afternoon. Drive to Thangu ( 32Kms from Lachen) after breakfast. Situated at an altitude of 13000ft Thangu is a recent host in North Sikkim Travel Map . The journey to Thangu follows the fascinating roads winding upwards cutting across the dense conifered mountains, lush green alpine meadows and vast river valleys. Transfer to hotel at Thangu (basic accommodation). Visit Chopta valley. Overnight at Thangu.

Day 5 :
Drive early towards Gurudongmar Lake (17100ft, 31kms, only Indian National are allowed). Gurudongmar is one of the highest situated lakes in North Sikkim. Remember the altitude here may cause breathing problem. Move slowly towards the pristine lake and watch it motionlessly. Offer prayers to the small temple near the lake and get back to your car. Return to Lachen in the evening. Overnight at Lachen.

Day 6 :
Drive to Gangtok after breakfast (156kms), lunch on the way. Reach Gangtok in the evening. Farewell and tour concludes.
